My biggest piece of advice when it comes to visiting Paris?
Don't try to do too much. Take a leisurely approach to your trip. Let the course of a day dictate what you do. You never know whom you might meet or where the day will take you.

I am partial to the Sofitel Arc de Triomphe. We stayed there a few years ago in a suite in a great deal we got through Costco Travel. It is an elegant, perfectly located hotel with outstanding service. They let us check into another room to shower before our room was ready when arrived from the states early in the morning.
